Job summary

CP South Clinical in Colony Park South is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (UA)-1 to perform routine administrative and clinical duties in a fast-paced setting. You will assist with patient intake, vital signs, documentation, and basic procedures under physician supervision.

The role requires CMA/CCMA/RMA credentials from recognized bodies and strong knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology. A supportive team environment and standard day shift are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; checks in patients, obtains medical histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations.
• Performs routine specialized procedures such as venipuncture, catheterization, and sterile dressing changes in accordance with established protocols; collects and prepares laboratory specimens for analysis.
• Arranges examination room for instruments and equipment; sterilizes medical instruments; dispose of contaminated supplies; and maintains stocks of medications and medical supplies.
• Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues within established guidelines.
• Performs administrative duties such as answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing medical records, verifying demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, and performing billing and bookkeeping tasks.
• Practices safety, environmental, and infection control methods.
