Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support physicians and the care team at Luckow Pavilion in Paramus, NJ. You will perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs and tests, and document in the EMR with accuracy.

This role blends clinical tasks with front-desk responsibilities to ensure smooth patient flow. The ideal candidate has NJ-recognized CMA/RMA certification, high school diploma, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
• Certification as CMA/RMA required by the NJ Board or equivalent.
• BCLS certification preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; verify insurance and collect payments at time of service.
• Perform patient intake, vitals, blood draw, EKG and tests as directed by physician.
• Document accurately in EMR per licensure and policies; coordinate with staff for workflow.
• Provide front-desk support, appointment scheduling and handling clinical/billing inquiries.
• Support the practice and staff as directed by the Practice Manager.
