Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Two years of experience in a physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the medical provider with intake, vitals, diagnostics and labs.
• Assist with medication refills when needed.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow and room turnover.
• Keep exam room neat, stocked and organized.
• Enter data for reporting and chart preparation.
• Respond to patient calls promptly.
• Participate in training opportunities and continuing education.
• Utilize data systems to prep charts before appointments.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment used to perform duties.
• Administer vaccines and immunizations as appropriate.
• Communicate with other healthcare entities and departments.
• Schedule appointments and educate patients/families.
• Assist in training new medical assistants.
• Other duties as assigned.
