The role you’ll contribute:

Assist the physician in providing medical care to patients of various ages according to individual practice policies, professional standards, and hospital policies and procedures. Adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Help the practice and physician achieve meaningful use measures. Demonstrate effective use of Customer and Superior Service Standards in all settings. Work under the supervision of the physician and Practice Manager/Office Supervisor.

• Perform initial response-screening following protocols under the supervision of the physician.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments using established guidelines.
• Help the practice and physician achieve meaningful use measures.
• Clean, prepare, and maintain examination rooms and treatment areas.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

Qualifications:

The expertise and experience you need to succeed:

• High School Diploma
• 1+ year of related work experience or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship
• Basic Life Support or CPR certification
• Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following:
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) for NRCMA
• American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ year experience in the medical/healthcare field with communication experience across all staff levels
