Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Fort Worth seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a busy medical office. This role collaborates with providers, prepares exam rooms, and assists with procedures to ensure efficient patient care.

You will document vital signs in NextGen EMR, explain treatments, administer medications as directed, and handle calls, triage, and scheduling while maintaining HIPAA compliance and professionalism. Travel to satellite locations may be required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) is required.
  • Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with patient care and procedures.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical history in EMR (NextGen).
  • Explain procedures and treatments to patients to promote understanding and comfort.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by provider and within certification scope.
  • Observe and document patient conditions, reporting changes to provider promptly.
  • Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures ordered by provider.
  • Answer and triage patient calls; address questions regarding tests, results, and medications; respond same day.
  • Communicate professionally with physician offices, facilities, and vendors; coordinate external scheduling.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Travel to satellite locations as needed (Fort Worth).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care delivery in a medical office environment. Responsibilities include direct patient care, assisting providers with clinical tasks, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting front-office functions as needed.
