Job summary

Kansas City Pain and Spine is opening a new interventional pain medicine practice in Lenexa, Kansas. We are hiring two medical assistants to help build workflows, patient experience, and grow with us as we expand.

You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect copays, document in the EHR, and assist with in-office procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and epidural steroid injections. You will monitor patients post-procedure and provide education under physician supervision, with

Qualifications

• Medical assistant diploma or certificate, or equivalent clinical experience.
• At least 1 year of clinical MA experience in a physician office.
• Current BLS certification, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.
• Comfort handling both front desk and clinical duties.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive, team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, schedule appointments and procedures, and coordinate patient communication.

Kansas City Pain and Spine is opening a new interventional pain medicine practice in Lenexa, Kansas. We are hiring two medical assistants. This is a rare chance to help build a practice from the ground up. You’ll shape our workflows and our patient experience, and you’ll grow with us as we expand.

Our patients live with chronic and acute pain. We’re looking for someone who brings warmth, patience, and steady professionalism to every interaction, from the first phone call to post-procedure follow-up.

What you’ll do

• Answer phones, schedule appointments and procedures, and coordinate patient communication

What we’re looking for

Nice to have

• Experience with fluoroscopy-guided procedures or prior authorizations
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Ground-floor role in a brand-new practice, with room to grow as we expand
• Work directly with the physician in a small, collaborative team
• Weekday schedule, with no nights or weekends
• Competitive pay: $21-$24/hour, depending on experience, with option to increase compensation with increased responsibilities.
• Anticipated start date: Mid November, 2026.
