Job summary

Tap Management Company Llc is seeking a Medical Assistant for our outpatient interventional pain management clinic. You will support physicians and staff by preparing exam rooms, documenting chief complaints in EMR, and assisting with procedures.

The role includes patient intake, scheduling, processing prior authorizations, and providing post-procedure instructions under supervision. You will also assist with inventory, sterilization, and basic lab tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certifications: CMA, RMA, or equivalent; BLS/CPR certification.
  • Experience: 0 to 2+ years of clinical experience; pain management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, EMR proficiency, pharmacology knowledge, and ability to assist in safe patient transfers.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Intake: Room patients, record vital signs, review medication/allergy histories, and document chief complaints in the EMR (Eclinical Works).
  • Procedure Assistance: Prepare and maintain sterile procedure/examination rooms; assist with image-guided injections or minor procedures; monitor patients pre- and post-procedure.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow infection control, equipment sterilization, and radiation safety protocols (C-arm/fluoroscopy guidelines).
  • Administrative Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, process prior authorizations or DME orders, and handle patient inquiries or medical record requests.
  • Patient Education: Provide post-procedure home care instructions and medication usage guidelines under provider supervision.

Patient Population

Individuals experiencing chronic, complex, or high-acuity conditions (e.g., spine injuries, nerve damage, arthritis).

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Intake: Room patients, record vital signs, review medication/allergy histories, and document chief complaints in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Eclinical Works.

Procedure Assistance: Prepare and maintain sterile procedure and examination rooms; assist providers during image-guided injections or minor procedures; monitor patients pre- and post-procedure.

Safety & Compliance: Follow protocols for infection control, equipment sterilization, and radiation safety (such as C-arm/fluoroscopy guidelines).

Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience.
