What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Engage patients via phone, text, or video to assist with data entry and medical record collection
2. Complete the Prior Authorization Process from beginning to end
3. Process and document Patient Referrals internally and externally
4. Communicate with healthcare professionals to ensure they are prepared for patient appointments
5. Maintain and transfer information within the Electronic Health Record system

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. High school diploma required; 2+ years of college preferred
2. Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program (CCMA, CMA, etc.)
3. Minimum of 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
4. 5+ years of customer service experience required
5. EHR experience required, preferably with Athenahealth

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. LPN/LVN or nursing student training is helpful
2. Experience with video conferencing platforms such as Teams or Zoom
3. Proficient in Microsoft software, including Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
