Job summary

Gastro One, part of One GI, seeks a Medical Assistant to support daily patient flow and clinical procedures in Germantown, TN. You'll handle check-ins, basic lab tasks, and coordinate appointments and tests in a fast-paced GI clinic.

Ideal candidates will have MA certification, MD office exposure, and a patient‑centered approach. Growth opportunities, competitive benefits, and education support are offered.

Qualifications

• MA certification required or equivalent.
• Previous MD office experience preferred.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient history and intake.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
• Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
• Assist in maintaining general medical records.
• Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer system.
• Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.

The Must Haves

• Medical Assistant certification or the equivalent


• Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.


• Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.


• Membership in the State and National SGNA recommended.


• Maturity, empathy, and patience.
