Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support while delivering excellent customer service. This contract role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a pay rate of $24.34/hr.

The successful candidate will work with EHR/EMR systems, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare workflows. Requirements include current Medical Assistant certification, current BLS, and strong customer service skills;

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification.
• Current BLS.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with EHR/EMR and related computer systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document vital signs; perform EKG monitoring and tracing.
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology, precautions, and exposure risks.
• Follow HIPAA, regulations, scope of practice, and policies.
• Navigate EHR/EMR, scheduling, practice management, records, claims, and billing.
• Communicate medical terminology and clinical information clearly to patients.
• Assess patient understanding and tailor information shared.
• Provide information on services including medical, dietary, or transportation resources.
• Follow department protocols, workflows, policies.
• Provide professional and compassionate customer service.

Job description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, EHR/EMR systems, HIPAA, and healthcare workflows.

Location: San Antonio, TX

Contract: Minimum 1-year temp/contract role

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $ 24.34/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient vital signs and demonstrate knowledge of EKG procedures and tracing.

• Apply knowledge of medical terminology, precautions, bloodborne pathogens, and exposure risks.

• Follow HIPAA, state/federal regulations, scope of practice, and company policies.

• Navigate EHR/EMR, scheduling, practice management, records management, claims, and billing systems.

• Communicate medical terminology and clinical information clearly and effectively to patients/customers.

• Assess patient understanding and determine what clinical or support information should be communicated.

• Provide information regarding appropriate services, which may include medical, dietary, or transportation resources.

• Follow department-specific protocols, procedures, workflows, and policies.

• Provide professional and compassionate customer service.

Required Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification

• Current BLS

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

• Strong customer service skills

• Experience with EHR/EMR and related computer systems

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Pay Details: $24.34 per hour
