Job summary

NorthWest EMS in Beaver, PA is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support the Electrophysiology Department. You will room patients, take vital signs, review medication lists, and assist with injections and basic lab tests.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, maintaining records, and coordinating referrals and scheduling. The position requires MA certification, CPR, and background clearances within 90 days; a diploma or degree and venipuncture experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification required (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA).
• CPR certification required.
• Clearances as outlined in HR-106 must be completed within 90 days of starting.

• Rooms patients and administers basic clinical tasks including taking vitals and reviewing medication/history.

Office location: Heart and Vascular Center Electrophysiology Department 605 Sharon Road Beaver, PA 15009
Work hours: Monday - Friday daylight, no weekends, no holidays

Rooms patients, collects vital signs, review patient medication list and patient medical/social history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

REQUIRED

High School graduate or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA), CPR Certification, Computer experience, Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

PREFERRED

Medical Assistant diploma or degree program. Minimum of one year medical assisting experience. Proficient in venipuncture. .
