Job summary

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care and support patients’ well-being and recovery.

You will record vitals, review medications, and prepare patients for providers while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited medical assisting program.
• Current nationally recognized MA CMA RMA NCMA certification.
• Medication Aide 40-hour course completed or valid.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greet and prepare patients for the provider by recording vitals, allergies and medications, and completing screening questionnaires.
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare and provide ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the role.

Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Required

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Pay Range

$18.96 - $26.78 /hour
