Orlando Health Cancer Institute seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support ambulatory cancer care under physician/APP supervision. You will collect patient data, prepare for exams, assist during procedures, document in EMR, and coordinate scheduling in a fast-paced setting.

Minimum three years CMA experience, current BLS, and MA certification from a recognized body are required. High school diploma and approved MA training complete the profile.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school.
• Minimum three years as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required.
• Certifications: CMA, CCMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA, NRCAMA, RMA or equivalent may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care under physician/APP supervision in ambulatory settings.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assist patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assist the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Enter orders into the EMR under direction of a provider.
• Document treatments, procedures, and education per policy.
• Coordinate scheduling and provide patient with scheduling information.
• Support orientation and precept new Medical Assistants as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
