Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in providing medical care to patients of various ages.
• Adhere to hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Help the practice and physician achieve meaningful use measures.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist during examinations and procedures.
• Perform initial response screening and ongoing patient assessments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• At least 1 year of related work experience or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
• Current certification by AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA, or ARMA

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, with communication skills across all staff levels
