The role you’ll contribute:

The Medical Assistant provides appropriate care to patients within the scope of Florida Statutes Title XXXII: Regulations of Professionals and Occupations, Chapter 458. Medical Assistants assist in various aspects of medical practice under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities may include patient care management, administrative and clinical procedures. In all practice endeavors, the Medical Assistant will adhere to ethical and professional standards.

• Reviews appointment bookings in advance and ensures patients receive appointment reminders.
• Verifies and validates insurance prior to appointment date.
• Completes check-in process, securing copays and balance amounts.
• Verifies consent forms are completed and up to date.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Certification (required at employment)
• Certified or registered medical assistant certification from an AdventHealth approved certifying body
