Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced dermatology clinic. You will room patients with the dermatologist, document vitals and post‑op care, and assist with procedures to ensure a smooth, patient‑focused visit.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with EMR systems, and the ability to multi‑task in a busy environment. Full‑time hours and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Post‑high school education in medical support field preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information
• Scribing information for the dermatologist
• Providing post op wound care to patients
• Drawing blood and suture removal
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
• Scheduling patient appointments

Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as:

• Surgical photographs
• Biopsies – punch, DIF and shave
• Excisions
• Electrodessication and curettage
• I&D
• Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
• Phototherapy
• Injections
• Koh preps
• Trichograms
• Tzank preps
• Dermabrasion
• Patch testing
• Blue light

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Post High School education in a medical support field

Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
• Must possess organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
