Job summary

Suvida Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and keep the clinic running smoothly. You will handle administrative and clinical tasks, prepare patients for exams, manage charts, and assist with tests and procedures.

The role requires a CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA certification, EMR familiarity, and strong organizational and communication skills, with bilingual English/Spanish capabilities valued. The position is clinic-based and patient-centered.

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication skills.
  • Certification/registration as CCMA, CMA, RMA or NCMA required.
  • Experience with EMR and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physician support and maintain patient records.
  • Prepare patients and rooms for examinations and assist physicians.
  • Perform front-desk tasks and basic clinical duties as assigned.
  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture and minor procedures as directed.
  • Collaborate with care teams to ensure continuity of care.

What You’ll Do
Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide physician support services to ensure the clinic operates smoothly in providing patient care. They are responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Phlebotomy/VenipunctureIM/PO medication administration as ordered byprovider
  • Minor Procedures (Minor Wound Care, Suture and Staple Removal, etc.)
  • Assistwith in-room diagnostic testing (X-Ray, US, etc.)
  • Vitals
  • Update Patient Medical History
  • Chief Complaints and recent changes to mental, social, physical health
  • Gap Closure (Foot Exam, DRE, etc.)
  • Review provider orders with patient
  • Review referrals with patient
  • Review normal/stable labs or diagnostic tests with patient and forward any concerns to provider
  • Remote Patient Monitoring Support
  • Reinforcing understanding and adherence to careplan
  • Respond to patient calls/messages sameday
  • Collaborate with Medical Assistants, Transitions of Care Team, Chronic Care Team, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team for continuity of care
  • Other duties assigned by provider

  • Previousexperience in specific medical field preferred
