Job summary

Suvida Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinic operations, ensuring smooth patient care. You will maintain records, prepare patients and rooms, assist with exams, and handle front-desk tasks.

The role requires EMR experience, strong bilingual communication in English and Spanish, and a commitment to patient-centered care within a culturally diverse, underserved Medicare-eligible Hispanic senior population.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification/Registration with CCMA, CMA, RMA, or NCMA.
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) and medical terminology.
  • Previous experience in a specific medical field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • IM/PO medication administration as ordered by provider.
  • Minor procedures (e.g., wound care, suture removal).
  • Assist with in-room diagnostic testing (X-ray, ultrasound).
  • Vitals collection and documentation.
  • Update patient medical history.
  • Discuss chief complaints and changes to health with patient.
  • Review orders and referrals with patient.
  • Review labs/tests and forward concerns to provider.
  • Reinforce care plan adherence and patient education.
  • Respond to patient calls/messages the same day.
  • Collaborate with care team for continuity of care.
  • Other duties as assigned by provider.

What You’ll Do
Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide physician support services to ensure the clinicoperatessmoothly in providing patient care.Theyare responsible foradministrative and clinical tasks, such asmaintainingpatient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination,assistants with exams, and performing front-desk tasks.

Responsibilities
  • IM/PO medication administration as ordered byprovider
  • Minor Procedures (Minor Wound Care, Suture and Staple Removal, etc.)
  • Assistwith in-room diagnostic testing (X-Ray, US, etc.)
  • Vitals
  • Update Patient Medical History
  • Chief Complaints and recent changes to mental, social, physical health
  • Review provider orders with patient
  • Review referrals with patient
  • Review normal/stable labs or diagnostic tests with patient andforwardany concerns toprovider
  • Reinforcing understanding and adherence to careplan
  • Respond to patient calls/messages sameday
  • Collaborate with Medical Assistants, Transitions of Care Team, Chronic Care Team, and other members ofthe multidisciplinary care team for continuity of care
  • Other duties assigned by provider
