Job summary

CommonSpirit Health through CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support care teams with screenings, procedures, education, and administrative coordination in Kentucky.

In this role you will coordinate care, explain instructions, and collaborate with a diverse patient population while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required upon hire.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required upon hire.
• Certifications listed (CMA/CCMA, AAMA, NHA, NCCT, NAHP, AMT) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem.
• May collect urine drug specimens, draw and collect blood, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, or nasal routes.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

$19.44 - $27.45 /hour
