Job summary

CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group in Kentucky is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our care team. You will provide direct patient support, coordinate care, and contribute to screening and triage processes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compassion.

Daily duties include greeting patients, recording vital signs, assisting with clinical procedures, administering medications or vaccines as ordered, and handling administrative tasks with our electronic health

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED upon hire.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program upon hire.
• Certified CMA credentials required at hire per listed options.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, resp, height, weight, allergies, meds).
• Collect urine drug specimens and draw blood; prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered (various routes).
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
• May be required to collect urine drug specimens, draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and /or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and /or nasal administration.
• May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKGs.

Pay Range

$19.44 - $27.45 /hour
