Job summary

VNACJ CHC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Keyport, NJ location. This full-time role includes evening and weekend rotation and requires travel between Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, and Keyport to ensure consistent, compassionate patient care.

The candidate should have a CMA certificate, NJ driver license, and be capable of assisting with patient workflow and clinical records in a team-based Primary Care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school.
• 6+ months of supervised Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license and auto insurance.

• Adheres to the organization’s absenteeism and appearance policies.

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations. CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling andcritical prenatal care.

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our Keyport, NJ location. As part of the Primary Care team, this role helps ensure smooth, high‑quality patient care. This full‑time position includes an evening and weekend rotation and requires travel between our four Community Health Center locations—Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, and Keyport to ensure consistent, compassionate care for every patient we serve.

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications

Working Conditions/Physical Demand

Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, personal automobile, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00.
