We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in Gastonia, NC. The role involves assisting with patient examinations and treatments under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient movement from waiting room to treatment area, assisting patients and delivering charts to nursing staff.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record data on patient charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Drape patients and position instruments/equipment as needed.
• Hand instruments and materials to physicians.
• Clean and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards.
• Manage inventory and order supplies.
• Enter data into the computer system for records.
• Assist front office staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Medical Assisting program accredited by AAMA.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred.
• Effective communication and tactful interaction with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
