Job summary

Aspire Indiana Health, Inc. is interviewing Certified Medical Assistants for the Carmel location to join the integration team delivering primary and behavioral health services.

The role emphasizes whole-person care with nursing practices tailored to the seriously mentally ill population. Candidates should have a two-year MA program with certification/registration and ideally at least one year of related service experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year Medical Assistant program accredited by the U.S. Department of Education; certification or registration required.
• One year of directly related experience in serving individuals in need; clinical experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, auto insurance, and may travel to other Aspire locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and behavioral health services as part of Aspire's integration team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing practices with seriously mentally ill population.

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant will provide primary and behavioral health services to patients/clients as part of Aspire's integration team. This position demands a high regard for integrated or whole person care with knowledge of nursing practices with the seriously mentally ill population.

Education/Experience/Requirements

• Graduate of a two (2) year Medical Assistant program accredited by the U.S. Department of Education highly preferred. Certification or registration through an accrediting body is required (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, or NAHP)
• One (1) year directly related experience in a service capacity of individuals in need (e.g., children, youth, elderly, physically, emotionally and/or mentally disabled, special needs, etc.) preferred. Previous clinical experience in a medical office setting highly preferred.
• Must have access to reliable transportation, maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization. This position may be required to travel to other Aspire locations for coverage, as needed.
