Job summary

Aspire Indiana Health, Inc. is interviewing for Certified Medical Assistants to join our integration team in Indianapolis. You will provide primary and behavioral health services with a focus on whole-person care for patients with serious mental illness.

The role requires completing a two-year MA program (or equivalent), and certification/registration via AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, or NAHP. Travel among Aspire locations may be required to cover coverage gaps.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a two-year Medical Assistant program accredited by the U.S. Department of Education; highly preferred.
  • Certification or registration through an accredited body is required (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, or NAHP).
  • One year directly related experience in a service capacity for individuals in need is preferred; previous clinical experience in a medical office is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and behavioral health services as part of Aspire's integration team.
  • Demonstrate integrated or whole-person care with nursing practices for the seriously mentally ill population.
  • Support coverage across Aspire locations as needed.

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.

Position Summary

TheCertified Medical Assistant or Medical Assistantwill provide primary and behavioral health services to patients/clients as part of Aspire's integration team. This position demands a high regard for integrated or whole person care with knowledge of nursing practices with the seriously mentally ill population.

Education/Experience/Requirements

  • Graduate of a two (2) year Medical Assistant program accredited by the U.S. Department of Education highly preferred. Certification or registration through an accrediting body is required (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, or NAHP)
  • One (1) year directly related experience in a service capacity of individuals in need (e.g., children, youth, elderly, physically, emotionally and/or mentally disabled, special needs, etc.) preferred. Previous clinical experience in a medical office setting highly preferred.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation, maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization. This position may be required to travel to other Aspire locations for coverage, as needed.
