Performs patient access functions.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDSExemplifies good customer service.Regular reliable attendance.Effectively communicates and gets along well with others.Demonstrates proficient use of email.Accomplishes goals set for self and by Office Manager.Completes patient care assignments as directed by provider and clinical protocol. Secures clinic areas nightly.Proficient in EPIC including retrieving patient records, entering patient data (e-form) and locking record.Greets patients on arrival.Registers and enters patient data into the Health Information system. Scans insurance card information.Admits patients, taking brief history and vitals.Performs procedure set-up and assists provider as indicated.Discharges patient with prescriptions/instructions and documents in patient’s chart.Maintains adequate medical supply and medication inventory.Schedules surgeries or referrals as ordered, attain prior authorizations for surgeries when needed, provides patient education and instruction information.Familiar with policies in Policystat, including nursing, registration and disaster policies.Performs other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
