Job summary
Navion of New Bern, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration and caregiving roles. Our team delivers high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in a modern Assisted Living Community in New Bern, NC.
Join our dynamic team on 1st Shift and make a meaningful impact by supporting our residents. Shifts will be every other weekend.
Qualifications
- Must complete a State Approved Medication Aide course.
- PCA or CNA certification required.
- Proficient written and oral communication; able to work in an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and staff.
- Protect residents' rights with dignity and respect.
- Attend in-service and complete required CE.
- Remain calm under stressful conditions.
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
- Adhere to dress code and professional appearance.
- Document thoroughly and timely.
- Report changes in a resident’s condition to supervisor.
- Follow policies for schedules and tasks.
- Operate equipment safely and within training.
- Follow infection control precautions.
- Know fire and emergency procedures and report safety violations.
