Responsibilities

• Administers PRN medications after authorization by the facility nurse or physician.
• Organizes medication duties to pour, pass, and document prescribed meds and PRN meds as directed.
• Documents all PRNs according to State Standards.
• Observe and report reactions and side effects to the licensed nurse.
• Take and record vital signs prior to administration when needed.
• Prepare and document medications to be administered.
