Job summary

Antwerpen Clarksville Autopark in Clarksville, MD is seeking a detail-oriented Maryland State Inspector Technician to join our team. You will perform inspections to ensure vehicles meet state safety and emissions standards and help customers understand inspection results.

You will work with the service team to provide accurate evaluations, document findings, and recommend necessary repairs while maintaining high safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Maryland State Inspector Technician certification required.
• Experience conducting vehicle inspections or in automotive service.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify safety and compliance issues.
• Good communication and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation to Clarksville, MD.

Responsibilities

• Perform state-mandated vehicle inspections per Maryland DOT regulations.
• Inspect safety equipment, emissions, frame, tires, lights, brakes, and other components.
• Document inspection results and issue inspection certificates when appropriate.
• Clearly communicate findings to customers and recommend repairs or maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the inspection area and tools.
• Stay current with Maryland inspection procedures, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols during inspections.
