Job summary

Antwerpen Clarksville Autopark in Clarksville, MD is seeking a Maryland State Inspector Technician to join our service team. You will conduct state inspections to ensure vehicles meet Maryland safety and emissions standards and clearly communicate results to customers.

This role requires a Maryland State Inspector Technician license, the ability to work independently or with a team, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Maryland State Inspector Technician certification/license.
• Experience conducting vehicle inspections or working in automotive service.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify safety/compliance issues.
• Good communication and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Reliable transportation to Clarksville, MD.

Responsibilities

• Perform state-mandated vehicle inspections per Maryland Department of Transportation regulations.
• Inspect safety equipment, emissions, frame, tires, lights, brakes and other components.
• Document inspection results and issue certificates when appropriate.
• Communicate findings clearly to customers and recommend repairs or maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection area and tools.
• Stay current with Maryland state inspection procedures, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols during inspections.
