Delta-T Group is seeking a Certified Math Teacher (5th-12th Grade) in Philadelphia, PA 19139. The position offers an hourly rate starting at $43–$45 per hour, with long-term, short-term, and substitute opportunities.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating instruction, maintaining classroom management, and collaborating with staff to support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to comply with written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to create an efficient working relationship with other personnel.
• Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills.
• Willingness to stand for most hours of the day, or sit for extensive periods of time.
• Full capability to give instructions in the absence of the main teacher.

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach, and evaluate instruction for students.
• Work with students in classroom settings.
• Meet and instruct students in designated locations and times.
• Use positive verbal and non-verbal skills that enhance learning.
• Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff, or parent/guardian in all public settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by program/building administrators in accordance with school policies and practices.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground, and in the cafeteria.
