Job summary

MultiCare Health System's Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient treatment under supervision in a hospital-based outpatient clinic. The role supports adults in rehabilitation, with opportunities to advance clinical skills in a collaborative team environment.

The successful candidate will hold WA licensure as a COTA, have current BLS, and prefer at least one year of adult rehab experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Washington.
• Minimum one year of experience in adult rehabilitative services preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform OT treatment procedures, modalities, and occupational training to improve functional ability.
• Confer with supervising OT before beginning a treatment program regarding goals and plans.
• Contact supervising OT when treatment plan needs adjustment or medical issues arise.
• Provide recommendations for assistive devices and equipment to improve function at home.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and progress in accordance with policy.
• Consult with rehabilitation team to provide a collaborative therapeutic approach.
