Job summary

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is seeking a Certified Locksmith for high-security facilities in the Virginia/Maryland area. You will install, maintain, inspect, and repair locking systems, safes, and access hardware in secure environments, while ensuring strict adherence to security protocols.

The role requires 3+ years of locksmith experience, strong mechanical skills, and a high level of integrity.

Qualifications

• Certified locksmith with recognized certification (ALOA, SAVTA or equivalent).
• 3+ years of professional locksmith experience, ideally in government, military, or high-security environments.
• Experience with high-security locking systems and key control programs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• High integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair high-security locking systems, safes, vaults, doors, and access hardware.
• Service and troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical locking devices.
• Perform lock rekeying, combination changes, and key control management per security directives.
• Support secure facility construction, renovation, and decommissioning projects.
• Conduct routine inspections for compliance with security standards and document work.
• Respond to emergency lockouts or security incidents.
