Job summary

J.W. Speaker is seeking associates for our assembly floor to gain manufacturing experience and grow with us.

You will be trained to become a certified assembler within 6-9 months, increasing pay from $17 to $19 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift premium on 2nd shift. 2nd shift runs 3:15pm-11:15pm, Monday through Friday, with benefits including health/dental/vision, disability insurance, 401k with employer match, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 34 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand up to 9 hours.
• Ability to work overtime during the week.
• Ability to work overtime on weekends (infrequently) for religious exemptions).

Responsibilities

• Assemble lights using blueprints and work orders.
• Perform daily and weekly 5S procedures.
• Set up and operate machines including: potting, sonic welder, multi-voltage testers, rivet machine, shrink tubing, micrometers, air presses, pneumatic drivers and crimpers.
