Job summary

Presbyterian SeniorCare Network seeks a Certified Lifeguard for Longwood at Oakmont in Verona, PA. This casual, non-exempt role pays $15.00–$19.00 per hour with flexible scheduling.

You will supervise pool areas, enforce policies, support resident exercise programs, and help maintain pool and deck cleanliness. Qualified candidates hold current lifeguard certification, American Red Cross First Aid training or equivalent, and CPR certification for adults, children, and infants.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification current and valid, including First Aid training or equivalent.
• CPR certification for adult, child, and infant from American Red Cross or equivalent.
• Ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifeguard duties for the pool and maintain safety of swimmers.
• Enforce pool and hot tub policies and procedures.
• Assist with exercise programs for residents’ benefit.
• Maintain cleanliness of pool, deck, and surrounding areas.

Starting Pay: $15.00/hour - $19.00/hour; Depending on experience

The Certified Lifeguard oversees the life guarding of the swimming pool. The role assists in enforcement of the policies and procedures for the pool and hot tub areas, assists with exercise programs for the benefit of the community, and maintains the cleanliness of both areas and the pool deck. Candidates for the position must be familiar with water and condition testing and recording as required by law and must ensure that all pool equipment is inspected regularly to maintain proper working condition.

Requirements for the Certified Lifeguard:

• Possess a current, valid lifeguard certification including completion of American Red Cross Standard First Aid training or its equivalent.
• Have and maintain current and valid certifications in adult, child, and infant CPR from the American Red Cross or its equivalent.
• Be able to effectively interact with residents, resident families, and team members.
