Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician in the Concord, NC area to support hospital services through high-quality instrument processing and sterilization. The role requires attention to safety, timely maintenance, and adherence to strict protocols to ensure patient safety and operational efficiency.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a Monday-Friday 3-11:30 schedule and rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety standards.
• Identifies, responds & reports malfunctions and/or alarms.
• Performs efficacy and quality testing for all processes and equipment.
• Identifies manual and/or mechanical cleaning per IFU for general and specialty instruments.
• Performs high level disinfection.
• Determines, prepares, and uses supplies required in the assembly process.
• Assembles and inspects instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
• Packages and labels instrumentation following standards.
• Operates sterilization equipment and verifies processes.
