Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field is required.
• Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) certification is required upon hire.
• 1+ years of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines is required.
• Proficiency in using 3M encoder/Epic software and Microsoft Office suite is required.

Working remotely on a full-time basis, a Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient medical records according to established guidelines and regulations while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
