Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Davenport, IA, seeks a Certified Hyperbaric Technician to join the Wound Healing Center on Day Shift. You will administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to diverse patients and operate the hyperbaric chambers and related systems, while upholding UHMS, Joint Commission, and NFPA standards.

Qualified candidates have a CHT from UHMS-recognized program (or Hyperbaric Specialist), Iowa-registered Respiratory Therapist/EMT-Paramedic/ CMA or PTA, BLS training, and at least 1 year

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; health care studies preferred.
• BLS or CPR certification required.
• Certification as Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Hyperbaric Specialist is preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting with patient interaction is expected.

Responsibilities

• Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed.
• Operate and maintain hyperbaric chambers and related equipment.
• Adhere to Joint Commission, UHMS, NFPA regulatory standards.
