Job summary

By The Bay Health in California is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care to our hospice patients in home-based settings. Duties include bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, turning and positioning, and supporting prescribed exercises.

Applicants must complete an approved Home Health Aide training program and hold a valid HHA license; a California driver’s license is required for potential transport.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.
• Experience in hospice or home health preferred.
• MUST HAVE HHA LICENSE.
• Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State requirements, if driving a car.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed.
• Assist patient in and out of bed and with ambulation.
• Turn patient in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linen.
• Assist with prescribed exercises as directed.
