Job summary

Interim HealthCare of South Plainfield is seeking caring CHHAs for part-time, flexible hours. Roles include companionship, homemaking, personal care, transportation to appointments, and assistance with daily activities.

Minimum requirements: New Jersey CHHA certificate, reliable vehicle, ability to pass criminal history and drug screening, and authorization to work in the United States. Must provide two references from past employers or instructors.

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle and transportation.
• Able to pass criminal history and drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide two references from past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends).
• Able to travel within geographic service area.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, homemaking, and personal care.
• Assist with daily activities and transportation to appointments.
• Support with grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and positioning as needed.
• Adhere to patient plan of care and routine.

Job description

CHHAs provide companion activities, homemaking, personal care, transport to appointments, and assistance with daily activities, such asgrocery shopping.

• exercise, activity and positioning, range of motion, transferring, ambulation and assistive devices
• personal hygiene (nail and skin care, bathing, shampooing, etc.) and positioning

• post-stroke and dementia care
• light house-keeping, laundry and assistance with meal preparation
• transportationto appointments
• adherence to patient plan of care

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• New Jersey Certified Homemaker Home Health Aide Certificate
• Reliable vehicle
• Ableto pass criminal history and drug screening
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Provide two references of past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends)
• Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment.
