Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a part-time CHHA to provide companion activities, homemaking, personal care, and transportation to appointments.

Reliable transportation and NJ CHHA certification are required, with a background check to be completed upon hire. The role includes assisting with daily living tasks, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and support with post-stroke and dementia care, while adhering to the patient’s plan of care.

Qualifications

• New Jersey CHHA certification is required.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass criminal history and drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide two references from past employers or nursing program instructors.
• Able to travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment.

Responsibilities

• CHHAs provide companion activities, homemaking, personal care, transport to appointments, and assistance with daily activities such as grocery shopping.
• Assist with daily activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with post-stroke and dementia care.
• Adhere to patient plan of care and ensure safe transportation to appointments.

Part-time, flexible hours!

Must have NJ CHHA certification and reliable transportation. Criminal history and background check will be completed upon hire.

CHHAs provide companion activities, homemaking, personal care, transport to appointments, and assistance with daily activities, such as grocery shopping.

• exercise, activity and positioning, range of motion, transferring, ambulation and assistive devices
• personal hygiene (nail and skin care, bathing, shampooing, etc.) and positioning
• vital signs
• post-stroke and dementia care
• light house-keeping, laundry and assistance with meal preparation
• transportation to appointments
• adherence to patient plan of care

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• New Jersey Certified Homemaker Home Health Aide Certificate
• Reliable vehicle
• Able to pass criminal history and drug screening
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Provide two references of past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends)
• Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment.
