Job summary

CVHCare, a leader in Home Health Clinical services, is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our California home health team. The CHHA will collaborate with Licensed Clinicians to deliver skilled services and assist patients with daily activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year as Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
• Minimum one year checking vitals and documenting clinical charts
• Home Health Aide Training completed
• California HHA Certification and CPR Certification
• Strong attention to detail for chart documentation
• Excellent time management and calendaring; timely documentation
• Experience using Microsoft Office and Gmail/Workspace systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with skilled services under supervision of a clinician
• Check temperature, pulse, and respiration; assist with prescribed exercises
• Assist with activities of daily living (bed mobility, dressing, grooming, hygiene, feeding)
• Support ambulatory transfers and light housekeeping
• Document care and report findings to clinicians

About the position:

Our Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) work in collaboration and under the supervision of a Licensed/Certified Clinician. This role is responsible for providing patients with skilled services and assistance with basic daily activities.

As a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), you will use your education to assist with activities which support skilled services including checking temperature, pulse and respiration rates, assisting with exercises, or repetitive routines as prescribed by the clinicians. The nurturer you are, will put your skills to work in support of other daily activities that may include assistance with getting in and out of bed, dressing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, assistance with ambulatory transfers, and light housekeeping.

Schedule: 24 hours p/week (18 RVEs p/week) and Per diem (12 visits per week)
* Non-traditional schedules are available, i.e., Thursday-Monday

Area #4covering the cities of Danville, Martinez, Moraga, Alamo, Clayton, Concord, Lafayette, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek

Area #5covering the cities of Pittsburg, Discovery Bay, Antioch, Brentwood, Oakley, Byron, Bethel Island, Bay Point

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year experience working as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
• Minimum one (1) year checking vitals and reporting/documenting on clinical charts
• Home Health Aide Training
• California Home Health Aide Certification and CPR Certification
• General knowledge and understanding of clinical verbiage
• Strong attention to detail for use in chart documentation
• Excellent time management/calendaring skills and ability to deliver documentation timely
• Strong experience using computers and computer systems
• Experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Gmail Suite or other systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication

This is NOT a remote position

Compensation is based on full time schedule
