Job summary

United Methodist Communities is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in Northern New Jersey to provide compassionate, in-home care to our clients per diem. This role offers flexible shifts with competitive hourly pay reflecting experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older required.
• Current and active New Jersey CHHA certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and report changes in patient behavior to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, medication reminders, mobility).
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding and perform light housekeeping.
• Run errands and provide transportation to appointments.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement through safe, compassionate care.
