Job summary

United Methodist Communities in Atlantic City, NJ, is seeking a compassionate CHHA to join our per diem care team. You will support residents with daily living activities, monitor health signs, and assist with meals, mobility, and transportation to appointments.

This role offers flexible scheduling and meaningful community impact. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 18+, and an active New Jersey CHHA certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Current and active New Jersey CHHA certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, medication reminders, and mobility.
• Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and perform light housekeeping.
• Run errands and provide transportation to appointments.
• Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement through safe, compassionate care.
