Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA seeks a Clinical Histotechnician I - Certified to produce high-quality histology for patients and clients. You will work closely with Pathology leadership, supporting bone marrow transplant and hematology services within the Pathology Laboratory.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology as defined by 42CFR493.1489(b)(3)(ii).
• HT (ASCP) certification required.
• Color vision screening to perform this role.

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, and process specimens per protocol.
• Prepare specimens using paraffin, frozen sections, and cytocentrifugation; section with microtome.
• Perform routine and special histochemical stains.
• Perform Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.
