UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Histotechnologist to join our surgical pathology grossing and frozen section team. You will perform specialized histology techniques, assist with gross examination, tissue sampling, and intraoperative consultations to support real-time surgical decisions.

Candidates must have a High School diploma and ASCP HT/HTL certification. This full-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus (where eligible), robust educational assistance, generous PTO, and PSLF

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ASCP HT or HTL certification required.

Responsabilités

• Perform specialized histological techniques (IHC, pathology molecular, renal).
• Assist supervisor with new instrumentation, quality control, troubleshooting, and Vantage data management.
• Assist team lead with frozen section lab and special procedures (IHC, renal).
