Job summary

UAB Medicine's histology and IHC lab team offers an opportunity to contribute to diagnostic precision through high-quality tissue preparation and staining. You will perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, coverslipping, and quality checks while supporting IHC, special stains, and digital pathology initiatives.

You will partner closely with pathologists and other lab staff while working across a wide range of routine and complex cases, in a high-standard diagnostic setting that

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ASCP Histotechnologist (HT) or Histotechnician (HTL) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and coverslipping with quality checks.
• Support IHC, special stains, and digital pathology initiatives.
• Collaborate with pathologists and lab staff across routine and complex cases.
