Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Histotechnician (HT/HTL) to perform specialized histological techniques including immunohistochemistry and pathology molecular methods. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ASCP HT or HTL certification required by ASCP.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized histological techniques (IHC, molecular, renal).
• Assist supervisor with evaluating new instrumentation, reagents, QC, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist team lead with frozen section lab and special procedures (IHC, renal).
