Job summary

Plastic Express in Pasadena, CA is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair forklifts, rail kings, yard jockey trucks, aerial lifts, and related heavy equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and ensure safety and reliability on site.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience as a forklift and diesel engine mechanic, valid driver’s license, and familiarity with Toyota Lift, Cummins, Rail Kings,

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as forklift and diesel engine mechanic.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate forklifts.
• Experience with Toyota Lift, Cummins, Rail Kings, Yard Jokey Trucks and Hyster lifts is a plus.
• Must be able to work long hours, weekends and holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment including forklifts, rail kings, yard jockey trucks, aerial lifts, golf carts and chassis trailers.
• Diagnose issues using automotive diagnostics and align components for performance.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery parts for repairs or replacements.
• Inspect equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations and standards.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical and diesel systems; repair malfunctions.
• Keep records of repairs, parts used and service performed.
• Maintain clean, organized work environment and communicate status to clients.
