Job summary

Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist within the Lexington Health Northeast Rehab network. This full-time, day shift role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits for eligible employees.

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat individuals to restore function after disease or injury, performing tests and measurements, and developing therapy plans for diverse age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OT program approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or equivalent.
• Current and active Occupational Therapist license by the State of South Carolina.
• CPR Certification.
• No minimum years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct occupational therapy patient care upon referral by a physician or provider.
• Assesses patients across age groups from birth to geriatrics for OT needs.
• Develops and implements occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Administers therapies including upper extremity strengthening, splint fabrication, and ADL training.
• Documents patient progress notes, evaluation reports, and discharge summaries.
• Educates patients and families on home programs and post-discharge care.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and participates in department meetings.
• Supervises students clinically as needed.
