Vandergriff Chevrolet in Arlington, TX is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our dealership. You will perform repairs and maintenance on GM vehicles, test components, and communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers about needed services.

Our shop offers modern equipment, a clean environment, and growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, GM certification preferred, ASE certifications, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on GM vehicles as per repair orders.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about needed additional services.
• Provide estimates of time and parts for repairs.
• Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications and warranties.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
• Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Requirements

• GM certification is preferred
• At least 2 years experience as a Service Technician required
• ASE certifications required
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check prior to employment
• Must have clean & valid driver's license
